On my blog I will share quotes, thoughts and poems I find inspirational and that have helped me make changes in my own life. I have to start with one of my favorite poems by Rumi called the Guest House. Enjoy! This being human is a guest house. Every morning a new arrival. A joy, a depression, a meanness, some momentary awareness comes as an unexpected visitor. Welcome and entertain them all! Even if they are a crowd of sorrows, who violently sweep your house empty of your furniture, still, treat each guest honorably. He may be clearing you out for some new delight. The dark thought, the shame, the malice, meet them at the door laughing and invite them in. Be grateful for whatever comes. Because each has been sent as a guide from beyond. |

I love writing and reading poems myself! Whenever I am in sorrow, I am able to feel better after I express my melancholic feelings in poems that I write. I am also able to feel better whenever I am sad after I read about joyful poems that other poems write. I am thankful for being able to acquire inspirations from famous poems when I write my own poems. I also admire a number of popular poets. I have ensured that I have been able to invest time in regularly writing my own poems each week. So far, I am happy being able to productively spend my extra time engaged in a hobby that I have always loved!
